Inexpensive gallery wall: Target x Amazon Prints

We finally gave this space a makeover with an inexpensive gallery wall and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I’ve been holding off on decorating this wall because I truly couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do with it. Ideally, some built-ins would be amazing here (and super functional!) but we have about 100 other projects around the house before we can justify the price tag that goes along with that. I looked for some art for this spot, but because this is a shared living room/dining room area, it was really hard to find something to tie both spaces together.

Frames

The first part of this inexpensive gallery wall project we had to tackle was deciding on frames. Based on the size of the wall and the number of photos I wanted, we figured an 8×10 would work best for sizing. Then, it was all about the price tag and finding something that matched the rest of the room. We have a wrought iron and brass clock on the living room side, so when I stumbled across these brass frames, I knew they were perfect! The cost of frames can really add up when you’re talking about this many. We held out for a sale and got them for only $16 per frame. That’s $192 for the whole wall! There are also a few coordinating frames – we just bought these floating frames for the living room side of the room, and they match perfectly!

Photos

We used Amazon Prints for the prints and it was so convenient. I uploaded a bunch of my favorite wedding photos to the Amazon Prints app and they were in my mailbox a few days later. I went with black and white to keep things simple, but I could see updating these in the future and tying the color scheme into the rest of the room. We picked a mix of artsy wedding photos, portraits and group photos. The lovely Rachel from Rowenberry & Lavender did such an incredible job with our wedding photos and I love that they’re displayed in the room we spend the most time in. Amazon Prints is super easy and affordable. These were only $1.79 per photo for a total of $21.48.
