Wedding Wednesdays – My hair!

It’s officially been a month of married life! Newlywed life has been pretty amazing so far but I’ve gotten so many questions about the big day, so I figured I would bring back Wedding Wednesdays to share all of the details. Let’s start with something that’s important to every girl –hair!

Content sponsored by: Gavali Beauty Suite, Irresistible Me & Rent The Runway. As always all opinions are my own.

For those of you who don’t know, it’s hard work being blonde. Luckily, I have the most AMAZING hairdresser – Gabriella from Gavali Salon. She is seriously my fav so as soon as we picked a wedding date, I made sure she was available. I knew I wanted to get my color done no more than two weeks before, so I booked that appointment too.

The morning of my hair appointment, the doorbell rang and some gorgeous hair extensions from Irresistible Me arrived. I selected the 24 inch, Royal Golden Blonde in 200g and figured I would bring them with me in case Gabriella wanted to use them for the big day. She ended up adjusting my color to match and cutting them to a length that worked better with my hair.

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to have my hair up or down so I saved a bunch of pictures on Pinterest and Gabriella said we could play it by ear the day of which gave me one less decision to make before the wedding.

The morning of the big day was crazy. Gabriella met me at my friend Kristi’s house and started by adding in the extensions for added length and volume (excuse the sleepy bed head in the first photo). She curled everything and we decided to go with an updo so I wouldn’t be playing around with my hair all day. 89 bobby pins later, we had the PERFECT updo! She added in the veil from Rent the Runway and ta-da!

For those of you planning morning weddings, make sure you have a cup of coffee before you get dressed.  Despite the fact that I reminded myself 100 times to wear a button down shirt while I got ready, I threw on this gray t-shirt on my way out the door and ended up having to cut it off of me so I wouldn’t ruin my hair. RIP comfy gray tee.

For some reason, my favorite pictures of my hair from the wedding were all taken during the cake cutting so just ignore that my mouth is full of cake and enjoy Gabriella’s work of art updo.
