Valentine’s Day date night with Bertolli®

Some of the best wedding advice we got was from our family friends, Dave and Sue, who advised us to always have a date night planned. As a couple, it gives you something to look forward to when life gets a little routine. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we thought this would be the perfect time to plan a date night.

We like to keep things simple around here for Valentine’s Day. It’s two days before my birthday, it always seems to fall mid-week, and the hassle of restaurant reservations and prix fixe menus just don’t appeal to us. Plus, it falls on a Thursday night this year, so it’s Valentine’s Day date night at home!

Our date nights at home are a little fancier than just a normal dinner. On a regular night, we eat dinner on the couch with Bella and Rex snuggled in between us. To switch it up, we’ll set the table, open a nice bottle of wine, and make sure we have a fun dessert to share.

One of our favorite date night dinners is pasta. It’s super easy to make, easy to clean up, and delicious. And in my world, pasta = love. This year, for Valentine’s Day date night we’re mixing it up with a fun twist. Bertolli® Organic Traditional Tomato & Basil Sauce mixed with Bertolli® Organic Creamy Alfredo Sauce makes for a super simple recipe with lots of flavor — perfect for a delicious Valentine’s Day date night dinner!

Bertolli® Organic Traditional Tomato & Basil Sauce is made with plump tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and Romano cheese. Bertolli® Organic Creamy Alfredo Sauce is the perfect combination of fresh cream, whole milk, real butter, and aged Parmesan and Romano cheeses. When combined, they make a delicious, savory, Rosa sauce filled with the Tuscan-inspired flavors of Italy. Plus, they’re both made with non-GMO ingredients.

Add a side of garlic bread, a bottle of wine and a fun dessert to bring it all together for a romantic night in. Plus, dinner is on the table in under twenty minutes, which leaves plenty of time to snuggle up and watch a movie.

And if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, try a Rosa Cheese Tortellini Pasta Bake, a Rosa Chicken Bake, or Creamy Rosa Caprese Gnocchi with Blistered Tomatoes.
