The Mrs. Box & Blue Nile Petite Nouveau

Sponsored by: The Mrs. Box.

We’ve been engaged almost nine months and time has absolutely flown by. Right after Pete proposed, I ordered two Kate Spade ring holders – one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen. They’re the perfect place to toss my engagement ring when I’m doing dishes or showering but when I came across The Mrs. Box I knew I had to have one. And, you can have them monogrammed – how cute is that? The Mrs. Box has a beautiful selection of limited edition velvet color choices as well as two different monogram font choices and three different monogram color choices – silver, rose gold and gold.

I chose “The Victoire” velvet – a medium pink – with “The Ashby Script” in gold. I’m so happy I chose to get it monogrammed, and I didn’t find out until after I ordered that all of their boxes are individually hand monogrammed. I absolutely love the color combination – pink and gold are two of my favorites! The box is a bit smaller than you might expect, but it really is the perfect size to show off your ring and the velvet is amazingly soft.

I wasn’t originally planning on blogging about my engagement ring, but I get so many comments and questions on Instagram and have gotten a few emails, so here we go! I always knew I wanted a really simple ring and when we talked about getting engaged we went to a few local jewelry stores and my mind was made up – I knew I wanted a six-prong solitaire. A few friends had suggested we check out Blue Nile so we spent some time on the site and I told him the Petite Nouveau Six Prong Solitaire was my favorite. He carried on with his day and I spent a ridiculous amount of time googling and scouring Pinterest and wedding boards to find real pictures of the ring I loved. For being such a popular ring and style, I was surprised to find almost nothing online. So, if that’s you right now, here you go!

The Blue Nile Petite Nouveau has a very thin band – 1.85mm – which is exactly what I wanted and it really makes the diamond stand out. Plus, the thinner band is really comfortable. I was worried about how the ring would look from the sides in real life, so hopefully these pictures help. If you have any specific questions, feel free to comment below or send me an email! And here’s one more photo of the Petite Nouveau Six Prong Solitaire Engagement Ring in 14k White Gold in The Mrs. Box:

It’s beautiful, Karissa! Thanks so much for the info 🙂 I’m looking at this one as one of my favorites too! Can I ask what size carat you have? I have small hands (3.5 size) and your center stone looks like it covers your finger so well 🙂

Thanks for your post 🙂 It’s a beautiful ring.

I read some comments online about the prongs being too thick and chunky and possibly over-powering the diamond.

Did you find them bulky and bothersome? Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you!
