Smashbox – Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick products were provided by Smashbox for review. As always, all opinions are my own.

Let’s start by saying I’m usually a Chapstick & lip gloss kind of girl but that didn’t hinder my excitement when this gorgeous package filled with nineteen shades of the new Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick arrived on my doorstep. That excitement led to my first attempt at arm swatches which was hilarious.  I should have taken a picture of my right hand at the end of this, because it was COVERED in liquid lipstick. Beginners luck?

Anyway…Look. at. all. of. those. colors. Plus, there’s a fun collaboration shade from Lilly Singh called “Bawse” – a gorgeous, deep red.  So freakin’ pretty.

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick

To be honest, I hesitate to wear lipstick on a regular basis because it always needs to be reapplied.  Ain’t nobody got time for that.  Seriously. As far as the 8 hour wear goes, I’m a little skeptical.  I can say, the Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick lasted through about 6 hours of a pre-during-post dance recital outing with no food/drink and no reapplying but did not last through 8+ hours of Memorial Day picnicking.  That may or may not have been sangria related.  But, they are water resistant and are infused with Smashbox Primer Oil complex so they didn’t dry out which was nice.

Bawse | Stepping Out | Big Spender | Driver’s Seat | Bang-Bang | Dream Huge | Girl Gang | Chill Zone | True Grit | Miss Conduct

Disorderly | Babe Alert | Baja Bound | In Demand | Thrill Seeker | Blast Off | Shockaholic | Some Nerve | Out Loud

My top picks from the Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipsticks are Babe Alert, Baja Bound & Dream Huge.  To be honest, I’ll probably never wear Some Nerve & Chill Zone, but they are gorgeous colors and I may just have to plan a Halloween costume around one of them.  Feel free to send suggestions 🙂

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick is available now at Sephora.com and in all Sephora stores.  They’ll be available at US & Canada Smashbox retailers on August 1st and I linked them for you below, so don’t miss out!
