So we’re all like REALLY sick of cooking right? 416 days of making breakfast, lunch and dinner and we were ready to switch things up.

We’ve relied on SmoothieBox for breakfast and a lot of HelloFresh for dinner. But the in-between lunches/dinners end up turning into completely winging it or caving and ordering delivery. OlmoAtHome is the perfect compromise. There’s some preparation involved which means it doesn’t taste anything like takeout, but it’s easy enough that it doesn’t feel like the normal hassle of making dinner.

OlmoAtHome is a meal subscription service, offering weekly or on-demand prepared meals for pick-up or delivery.  They offer dinner and breakfast options for two, as well as beer, wine and grocery add-ons. Plus, flexibility and control over the menu and number of meals per week. We tried the Fried Chicken Sandwiches, Seacoast Mushroom Pasta, Ribeye & French Toast and we were not disappointed.

The Fried Chicken sandwiches were delicious. We skipped the kale to make sure we had room for the hush puppies, #health!

The Seacoast Mushroom Pasta was filled with flavor. A pound of fresh milled rye fusilli pasta mixed with roasted Seacoast mixed mushrooms and topped with Liuzzi Stracciatella, preserved lemon and housemade bagel breadcrumbs.

We got the Ribeye with truffled fingerling potatoes and beef jus, and it was AMAZING. For $40, this was the perfect date night in dinner and it was easily two full meals for both of us.

Pete is borderline obsessed with French Toast, and this was a game changer. I threw it in our cast iron for a few minutes to crisp up, then into the oven. I topped mine with berries but he skipped the berries and we both LOVED it. All of the servings were huge, but the French Toast was especially filling. It would be perfect with some Olmo bagels and mimosas for an easy Mother’s Day spread! Do yourself a favor and order this — you won’t regret it!

The seasonal menu is available on a weekly basis with one rotating, weekly special.  The options are pretty affordable — it’s slightly more expensive than HelloFresh (but way less preparation) and way less expensive than takeout. Plus, you get a 5% discount if you order more than one meal.

Mix-and-match meals must be ordered by midnight on Mondays for contactless pick-up or contactless delivery (within 15 miles of downtown New Haven) on Thursdays or Fridays of the same week. For more information, to view the full menu or to order, visit olmoathome.com.
